Our Story
Hearthlight Learning was founded by Sam Winch, after more than a decade in Learning and Development.
Over the years, Sam saw the difference between courses that simply deliver information and those that ignite understanding.
Too many online programs were cold, disconnected, and overwhelming, for both the creators and their learners.
So Hearthlight Learning was born from a simple idea:
to bring the warmth back into learning.
Our name reflects what we value most — the hearth as a place of gathering, comfort, and shared purpose, and the light that sparks understanding.
Together, they represent what we aim to create: learning experiences that guide, nurture, and inspire.
What we Do
We help small to medium organisations transform their expertise into meaningful learning experiences — from strategy and design through to build and launch.
Our work includes:

We’ve supported a range of impactful projects, from trauma-informed cultural awareness programs with The Seedling Group, to initiatives that help survivors of domestic violence through WorkHaven.

Meet the Team
Hearthlight Learning is led by Sam Winch, Learning and Development Advisor, facilitator, and owner of the name that sounds like a lunchtime food.
Sam spends her time helping others create their own courses and workshops. She works with passionate people, just like you, to take all of that “stuff” out of their head and turn it into engaging learning.
With over 2 decades experience facilitating and a 13 years of building courses up her sleeve, she knows how to make the process quick, easy and plenty of fun.
Working alongside a small, dedicated team of designers, developers, and learning specialists, Sam brings together the expertise needed to craft meaningful learning experiences from start to finish.
